Okay, as a fun intermezzo between the rendering tutorials, let me share my list of favourite game babes with you. A lot of them are modelled with 3ds max, so that gives me the right to show some (modelled) flesh on this otherwise highly educational blog. Let’s get started …
7. Aki Ross - Final Fantasy
Aki Ross didn’t need a human actress to play her in the movie - they just refined her 3D model and rendered it again. Did you know the video game designers also made an anatomically correct nude model of Aki Ross? They say it’s to to calculate the behavior of clothes on her body (eh, yeah .. sure). This model is since leaked and of course widely spread on the internet. I’m not linking to it - try Google. Or your hard drive.
Fun Facts:
-Aki was voted one of the sexiest women ever by the readers of Maxim. She’s the first fictional woman to ever make the list.
-She makes an appearance in a parody on Michael Jackson’s Thriller music video (it’s a hidden easter egg on the DVD).
6. Brooke Burke - Need for Speed Underground
Every time I start Need for Speed Underground, Rachel -modelled after Brooke Burke- welcomes me with a smile. The same smile. Every day. It does get a little boring, but still, she’s got the looks.
5. Lara Croft - Tombraider
Lara Croft doesn’t need an introduction, she’s without doubt the most famous game heroine, and even one of the most famous game characters tout court. Some see her as a feminist icon, others as a sexy game-bimbo. Every time they release a new episode of the Tomb Raider series, the PR agency releases some rumor about her breast size (to fit the current trend, be it bigger or smaller). But has anyone noticed you’re always looking at her back? So does it really matter?
Fun facts:
-Eidos hired different models in the past to pose as Lara Croft for promotional pictures, including Lara Weller (I guess she got the job only because of her name), Lucy Clarkson, Jill De Jong and at this time Karima Adebibe.
4. Ada Wong - Resident Evil
Ada Wong, the stunning secret agent in “Resident Evil” is a mysterious American woman of Chinese descent. And we all know that’s an excellent receipe for that familiar but exotic look. In the movie (only loosely based on the game), Ada’s character is played by Milla Jovovich - described by Paul Anderson (director of the film) as “a rare combination of a good actress who could kick ass and look beautiful doing it.”
3. Rayne - Bloodrayne
Rayne (sometimes referred to as “Agent BloodRayne”) calls herself a Dhampir. In the “Bloodrayne” game she’s looking for her father, and in the meanwhile killing all Vampires that cross her path. In the movie she’s played by Kristanna Loken. Never heard her name before, but my research told me she had a lesbian affair with Michelle Rodriguez. You know, Ana Lucia from Lost. But to be honest I think this is another case where the game babe looks better then her human counterpart …
Fun facts:
-Rayne is also a city in Louisiana.
-Rayne is the first videogame character that appeared in the Playboy Magazine (for your information: I had to censor her in the image above).
2. Joanna Dark - Perfect Dark
Joanna Dark is the protagonist of the Perfect Dark video game, in which she acts as an elite mercenary who specializes in industrial espionage. They didn’t make this game in a movie yet, but I’d love to see some goodlooking actress in a formfitting Joanna Dark suit. Based on her hair styling, Alyson Hannigan would be an option. Too bad she doesn’t meet the first requirement (goodlooking).
Fun facts:
-Her real name is derived from Jeanne d’Arc (Joan of Arc).
-Despite popular belief Joanna’s hair color was never meant to be brown but always red. The dev’s have claimed this is due to the limitations of the N64.

1. Tina - Dead or Alive
When “Death orAlive - Extreme Beach Volleyball” was released, it was criticized for being a thin veneer of computer rendered depictions of scantily-clad women. And that’s exacly what it is. And why it’s been a hit. The story: Tina is a wrestling star from the United States, who dreams of even greater fame. So she joins the Dead or Alive tournament, hoping that she can use it as a vehicle for becoming discovered as a supermodel. And that’s exactly what happened! I’m sure after I’ve declared her the most beautiful game babe she’ll get tons of work.
Oh, and there’s a movie too, in which Tina is played by the gorgeous Jaime Pressly Holly Valance (Thanks, Digg-people!).
Fun facts:
-Tina has changed her hair color frequently. In the first tournament, her hair is her natural brunette color. From the second tournament until the fourth, her hair is dyed blonde with her brunette roots still visible and in the fourth tournament her hair is colored entirely blonde.
-Tina’s swimsuites are named after stars. That’s right, her swimsuits have names. Actually, the names of all swimsuits of the different characters are all named after a specific theme.

The actress you have posted as Jaime Pressly in the picture is actually Holly Valance, who played Christie in D.O.A. And Milla Jovovich plays Alice in the Resident Evil movies, not Ada… her character never existed in any of the games.
For #1, it’s not Jamie Presley, it’s Holly Valance.
The picture says “Death or Alive”… and the actress you have pictured is of Holly Valance, who played Christie in the DOA movie.
Also, Milla Jovovich’s character in the Resident Evil film was named Alice, not Ada.
